Selected project
Fjord House
A house for a family who wanted one room they would not want to leave in February. The plan is a single bar turned three degrees off the contour so the stair lands on rock rather than fill, and the roof drains away from the approach.

Studio
A small practice, deliberately.
Atelier North is six people on the fourth floor of a converted textile building in Montréal. We work on houses, workshops, and the interiors that go with them.
A cold climate forgives very little. The envelope, the water and the light decide most of what a building will be, so we settle those first and let the plan follow. We would rather repeat one good detail than invent twenty.
We make the first of every joint in the shop before it is specified. Nothing is drawn here that has not been held in the hand.
